*A Message from TEEC*
Each patient should receive one bag and flyer prior to an evacuation. The bags should be used to hold vital information for patients.
We hope that you find the bags and flyers helpful as you continue to develop your facility emergency preparedness plan. Please distribute and assist your patients in filling out the vital information on the flyer that should be placed in the clear disaster bag.
If you have additional questions regarding emergency preparedness for dialysis patients and facilities, resources are available on the TEEC website at www.texasteec.org or the ESRD Network of Texas, Inc. website at www.esrdnetwork.org. If any of your patients require assistance evacuating in the event of a hurricane they can dial 2-1-1 from any landline to register with the Transportation Assistance Registry. A registration form is also located on the TEEC website under the Tools & Resources tab.
If you have any questions please contact TEEC at (877) 407-ESRD (3773) or the ESRD Network of Texas, Inc. at 469-916-3800. Thanks for your assistance and cooperation in this important preparation process.
